Area 9-- renamed Area I by 1940, was the Area Territory that included lodges in southern and northeastern Michigan, plus Papakitchie 142 in Elkhart, IN.
By Dec. 1942, it was renamed Area K, while Area H, which included all lodges in North Carolina, became the new Area I.
