1993 SR Realignment 1973 South Central Region Section Operation Twelve Regions (1950-72)



Effective Jan. 1, 1973, the New Section Operation consolidated the Twelve Regions into Six. The new regions were divided into areas and subdivided into sections. It was at the new sectional level that lodges participated in annual conclaves.

Region 9, and Arkansas and Louisiana from Region 5 were combined to form the new South Central Region.

From SC-4, the three lodges that covered New Mexico (Yah-Tah-Hey-Si-Kess 66, Kwahadi 78, and Gila 378) were transferred to the Western Region.





Mergers and Changes:

  • 1975: Nanomihistiim 328 ch name to Ni-U-Kon-Ska 328.

  • 1979: BSA National Office moved to Irving, Texas, surrounded by Mikanakawa 101 and Circle Ten Council. As such, Gamenowinink 555 was at east nominally part of SC-2.

  • 1983: Ta Tsu Hwa 138 absorbed Ni-U-Kon-Ska 328.

  • 1987: Nischa Achowalogen 486 from Palo Duro 486 and Chief Lone Wolf 341.
