The lodges of the Pittsburgh area have a rich history that goes back to Area 3-B and 3-F. By the time of the 6 Regions, Southwestern Pennsylvania included Kiasutha Lodge #57 (Allegheny Trails in Pittsburgh), Tanacharison Lodge #67 (East Valley Area in Munhall, then Forest Hills), and Wagion Lodge #6 (Westmoreland-Fayette in Greensburg). Later mergers expanded to include Nachamawat Lodge #275 (Penn's Woods in the Johnstown area) and Ahtuhquog Lodge #540 (Potomac Council in Cumberland, MD) from Western Maryland and the Potomac Highlands of West Virginia.

In 1993, Kiasutha Lodge #57 (Allegheny Trails) merged with Tanacharison Lodge #67 (East Valley Area) to form Enda Lechauhanne Lodge #57, Greater Pittsburgh Council. One of their first events was hosting the 1993 Section NE-5 Conclave.
