On January 1st, 2001 the National Office began realigning the areas of the Southern Region. While some of the new sections held conclaves that same year, all were implemented following the 2001 conclaves:

Ten lodges from S-1 were reassigned to S-2: Aina Topa Hutsi 60, Tonkawa 99, Wihinipa Hinsa 113, Colonneh 137, Quelqueshoe 166, Wahinkto 199, Wewanoma 272, Karankawa 307, Atchafalaya 563, and Hasinai 578. Two lodges from S-2 (Caddo 149 and Comanche 254), two from S-3B (Akela Wahinapay 232 and Abooikpaagun 399), four from S-8A (Watonala 169, Ashwanchi Kinta 193, Sebooney Okasucca 260, and Ti'ak 404), and one from S-8B (Aracoma 481) are combined with the three remaining lodges of S-1 (Ouxouiga 264, Chilantakoba 397, and Quinipissa 479) to form the new Section One: Old S-1 New S-1 to S-2 Ouxouiga 264 Chilantakoba 397 Quinipissa 479 Caddo 149 (from S-2) Comanche 254 (from S-2) Akela Wahinapay 232 (from S-3B) Abooikpaagun 399 (from S-3B) Watonala 169 (from S-8A) Ashwanchi Kinta 193 (from S-8A) Sebooney Okasucca 260 (from S-8A) Ti'ak 404 (from S-8A) Aracoma 481 (from S-8B) Aina Topa Hutsi 60 Tonkawa 99 Wihinipa Hinsa 113 Colonneh 137 Quelqueshoe 166 Wahinkto 199 Wewanoma 272 Karankawa 307 Atchafalaya 563 Hasinai 578 Note about the 2001 S-1 Conclave held at Warren Hood SR: Not all of the lodges reassigned the new section attended this event, as both Section 2 (including Caddo 149 and Comanche 254) and Section 8B (including Aracoma 481) held their final conclaves the same weekend. Chicksa 202 did attend, along with all of the other lodges from the old S-8A, even though it had not been realigned into S-1. The next weekend, they met as part of the new S-6N. There were two Section 2 conclaves held in 2001: the old S-2 on April 20-22 at Camp Tonkawa, and the new S-2 on July 6-8 at Southwest Texas State University- San Marcos. The six lodges that weren't transferred out of the section of course attended both conclaves.
