I've always loved furbabies and always had them since childhood. Believe it or not I don't like cats but I do love the ones we have. I'm a bit allergic, they make me itchy, so it means vacuuming and such probably more than the person would that doesn't have pets. We feel blessed to have a big house, although it doesn't feel so big when I sit in the lounge chair and I have three dogs sitting with me, too. But I wouldn't have it any other way!!!
Baths aren't too bad. Debo is the worst. I know I'll be soaked after bathing him, although he is better in the last year. Had we had him since a puppy, he wouldn't be so apprehensive I'm sure. They all get fed twice a day. I don't understand folks that feed their animals once a day, yet they eat two to three times a day. Can you imagine eating once a day, every day?
In the winter their food gets warmed in the microwave. I've been told our pets are spoiled. No way! They spoil US with their antics and love. They can all be so funny and make us laugh so hard.
Vet bills can be costly, heartworm meds, flea meds, shots, sometimes it's hard to keep up with everything. But it all ends up get done.
By the way.. there's nothing like a warm dog snuggling up to you in bed in cold winter weather. Just this morning I pulled Debo close to me because I was cold and said, okay Debo... this is how you pay your rent. He didn't complain, neither did I. Of all the dogs, he is the warmest!!!
