Years ago, I had arrived at work. As I got out of my car, I heard this meowing sound. I knew, of course, it was a cat. I tracked down where it was coming from. It lead to a little kitty that had jumped up inside another car's engine compartment. So I got the kitty out, wrapped him up in my towel and went into the office to call Patty.
I talked to her and said to contact a friend of mine and tell him we had another kitty for him, as we loved cats. She said that I should bring him home instead, that we would keep him. So I had her come out and pick him up, take him home and get some kitty supplies. Patty decided to name him Cloudy Kitty, as the weather was cloudy and overcast the day I found him.
For about the first week, Cloudy just hid under the couch, except to come out and eat. We had Caesar at that time, but Caesar just ignored him. After that, he came out and has been a typical kitty ever since.
We took him to the vet's office and he estimated Cloudy to be about 4 months old when we found him. He has been Daddy's kitty ever since. He is now 15 years old.
Two funny stories about Cloudy:
A friend of mine decided to tie some yarn to our ceiling fan, and have the end drag on the floor. After we turned the fan on and the yarn started spinning, Cloudy went berserk and tried his best to catch the piece of yard.
Also, a few years ago, Rabbi Bush and Joanna came by to bless the house after we moved in. As Rabbi started saying the prayers, Cloudy came running downstairs, took a look at the Rabbi, sat back on his back legs, raised his front paws and started praying as well! Rabbi was very amused by his behavior. Ever since then, Cloudy prays every so often.
