- At the conclusion of the joint C-7A & 7B Conclave that was held April 30 - May 2, 2010 at Great Lakes Naval Base, the two sections merged to form Section C-7.

- Andrew Kosmowski recently informed me that a new council name for the Detroit Area and Clinton Valley merger has been announced: Great Lakes Council #272. Their website notes that this is a new council number. The new council services Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne counties.
The former councils had voted August 4th if this year to consolidate Detroit Area and Clinton Valley Councils.
